Garden of Witches Chapter Walkthrough: 1.0 Story Route

Main Story Route at a Glance

Treat the story as eight ordered checkpoints, then verify the save state after each one. The main arc contains Chapters 1 through 5. The continuation contains Epilogues 1 through 3.

Route stageObjectiveVisible progress check
Chapters 1 to 5Clear the active witch domain and finish its final witch encounter. The next numbered chapter becomes the active story checkpoint.
After each chapterReturn to Sil's house and check progression menus.Newly earned Weapons or Spells appear in the Armory when their conditions are met.
Epilogue 1Clear its single-map sequence of waves, successive mid-bosses, and main boss.Epilogue 1 is complete and the next Epilogue is available.
Epilogues 2 and 3Continue the story and collect skills tied to Epilogue progress. The Epilogue arc reaches its conclusion.
After Epilogue 3Continue the cleared save.Challenge Mode becomes the next endgame state.

New players should begin with the first-run combat and room-choice plan. This walkthrough owns route order and checkpoints; the beginner page owns what to do inside the first few rooms.

Follow the Story in Order

  1. Start Chapter 1 and clear the active domain until its final witch encounter is complete.
  2. Return to Sil's house, confirm that Chapter 2 is available, and check the Armory for new options.
  3. Repeat the domain and final-encounter loop through Chapters 2, 3, 4, and 5.
  4. After Chapter 5, continue into Epilogue 1 and adapt to its single-map sequence of waves and mid-bosses.
  5. Clear Epilogue 1, then continue through Epilogues 2 and 3 on the same save.
  6. After Epilogue 3, continue that save again to enter the post-story Challenge Mode state.

The main checkpoint is the next route label visible from Sil's house or the chapter selection flow. If that next label does not appear, confirm the current domain's final encounter before replaying earlier rooms.

Check Unlocks After Every Chapter

The 1.0 progression system starts with default Scissors and a limited Spell pool. Additional Weapons and Spells unlock through chapter progress and other conditions, then become selectable in the Armory. That makes the return to Sil's house part of the route rather than downtime.

Use this short checkpoint after every chapter:

  1. Confirm the chapter clear state.
  2. Open the Armory and inspect newly selectable Weapons or Spells.
  3. Build the next loadout around one coherent damage plan.
  4. Enter the next chapter only after the intended Weapon and Spells are equipped.

The complete five-Weapon comparison helps identify what a new Armory entry changes. The 1.0 build framework covers how to combine that Weapon with Spells, Special Skills, Imprints, and Relics.

Epilogues 2 and 3 add further skills through story progress. Recheck the available loadout after each Epilogue checkpoint for the same reason.

Continue Through the Three Epilogues

Epilogue 1 changes the normal chapter rhythm. It uses a single map, repeated enemy waves, successive mid-bosses, and a main boss. Build growth happens inside that longer sequence, so prepare for sustained progress rather than expecting the same room-by-room chapter pattern.

Epilogues 2 and 3 continue the story and add skills as they progress. Keep the same save moving forward so its story clear state and unlocks remain connected. The end state is a completed Epilogue 3 save.

Once that state exists, follow the Challenge Mode unlock and house-entry steps. Challenge Mode belongs after the Epilogue arc in the current release.

If the Next Chapter Does Not Appear

SymptomExpected stateLikely missing checkNext action
The next numbered chapter is unavailable. The previous chapter's domain and final witch encounter are complete. The final encounter or its return-to-house transition has not finished.Reopen the current chapter state and confirm its final objective before starting another run.
A Weapon shown elsewhere is missing from the Armory.Additional Weapons appear after progress or other conditions. Its unlock condition has not been met yet.Advance the next confirmed story checkpoint and inspect the Armory again.
Epilogue 1 feels structurally different. One map contains waves, mid-bosses, and the main boss. The player is expecting the normal chapter room loop.Plan for one sustained map and verify progress at each cleared wave or mid-boss.
Challenge Mode is unavailable after Chapter 5.Challenge Mode unlocks after Epilogue 3.The three-part Epilogue arc is incomplete.Continue Epilogues 1, 2, and 3 on the same save.
Epilogue 3 is clear but the endgame state is absent.Continuing the cleared save should move to Challenge Mode. The cleared save has not been continued from the main menu.Continue that exact save slot and inspect Sil's house again.

Keep each retry small. Confirm the current route label, final encounter, Armory state, or save slot before replaying a full chapter.

What This Spoiler-Light Route Confirms

This page confirms the complete launch structure, the domain and final-encounter loop, progressive Weapon and Spell unlocks, Epilogue skill progression, Epilogue 1's different map structure, and the Epilogue 3 requirement for Challenge Mode.

It does not assign every boss, elite, and new Epilogue character to a chapter because the current official English material does not publish one complete 1.0 inventory for those entities. The route stays useful by relying on the chapter and save states visible in the game, without filling gaps from older versions.
